Things that once seemed simply part of everyday life acquire a different meaning when viewed years later.

There is a gentle shift within the poem from being cared for to becoming the person who cares. It is this recognition — discovering ourselves repeating the gestures once given to us — that sits at the heart of the piece.

The visual treatment is deliberately restrained. Typography sits within generous warm-ivory space, accompanied by barely visible handwritten fragments that appear almost like traces of memory on the paper. Subtle surface variation and softly irregular edges give the composition the character of something kept rather than simply displayed.

Part of the Words to Keep collection, Letter to Grandma is designed to feel personal without becoming overly sentimental — a letter that perhaps was never written at the time, but can still be given now.

A meaningful keepsake for a grandmother for her birthday, Mother’s Day, Christmas or simply as an unexpected thank you for all the ordinary things that turned out not to be ordinary at all.

PRODUCT DETAILS

A digital Fine Art Poetry Print by Surreal Mindscapes, created for the Words to Keep collection — a series centred on words, memory and the things we sometimes understand only with time.

The composition combines original poetry, refined typography, subtle handwritten elements and softly tactile paper detail within a deliberately minimal Fine Art presentation.

Printed as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm — a beautifully textured, heavyweight archival paper chosen to complement the softness of the typography and the understated character of the artwork.

COLOURWAY

This piece is created in an exceptionally restrained palette of warm ivory, soft parchment, pale stone and gentle graphite grey.

Rather than using illustrative imagery, the composition relies on typography, negative space and almost imperceptible handwritten traces.
