Is It Still Yes? lives somewhere inside that difference.
Two people are intensely close. His body fills the space around hers. One hand holds her wrist against the wall. Her face disappears between them, leaving us unable to read the expression that might normally tell us how to understand the moment.
And suddenly, what could have been an image of desire becomes a question.
Is she surrendering to the moment?
Is she hesitating?
Does she still have a choice?
The artwork deliberately refuses to answer.
Instead, it asks us to consider something easily lost in the intensity of attraction: that intimacy does not remove individuality, and that closeness should never make another person's voice disappear.
Created for those drawn to figurative art that reaches beyond beauty and asks something of the viewer — particularly around intimacy, boundaries, vulnerability and the complicated language of human relationships.
Because consent is not something given once and carried forward without question.
It remains present in every moment.

The composition intentionally creates an imbalance between the two figures. Differences in scale, the enclosing position of the male figure, the restrained wrist and the obscured female face introduce ambiguity into what might initially appear to be an intimate embrace. Generous warm-ivory negative space contrasts with the concentrated physical closeness of the figures, while graphite-inspired marks and larger painterly passages allow their forms to emerge from and dissolve back into the surrounding surface.
