Growing does not always mean following the path already made for us.
My Own Way captures that quiet beginning of becoming yourself — before there are plans, expectations or answers, when the world still feels impossibly large and your own direction is only beginning to take shape.
A child stands beneath an enormous tree. He is small beside it, but there is nothing fragile about his presence. He does not need to conquer what stands before him. He simply looks up.
And above him, one branch does something beautiful.
It leaves the darker trunk and reaches outward, following its own uneven course towards the light. At its furthest point, the smallest new growth begins to appear.
The connection is deliberately quiet: a child at the beginning of his life and a branch growing in the direction that belongs to it.
Created for parents watching a child gradually become their own person, and for anyone who has discovered that a meaningful life does not have to look like somebody else’s.
There will always be paths we could follow.
Expectations we could meet.
Ways we could become more like everyone else.
But sometimes growing means something much simpler:
finding my own way.
