THE FREEDOM TO LET GO

We often imagine strength as holding on.

Staying in control. Carrying our own weight. Knowing exactly where we are going and never needing anyone else to steady us.

But strength can take another form.

The Freedom To Let Go captures a woman suspended in movement, her body powerful and deliberate, yet connected to something beyond herself. The hand above does not make her a puppet, nor does it define who is holding her. It simply creates the point from which she is able to move.

She is not passive.

She reaches, stretches and dances.

The female form has always fascinated me as a visual language — the way strength and softness can exist in the same body, and how a single gesture can carry movement, confidence, vulnerability and sensuality all at once.

Here, that sensuality belongs entirely to her.

Created for those who recognise that independence does not require us to remain guarded every moment, and that trust does not have to diminish strength.

There can be something wonderfully freeing about knowing when to lead — and knowing when it feels right to let yourself be led.

Because strength does not always mean holding everything yourself.

Sometimes it is knowing that you could —

and choosing, for a moment, not to.
