ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
WHEN I LOOK DOWN
When I Look Down is about the strange, tender reality of carrying someone you have never met.
It is about watching your body change around a little life that is growing quietly with you — coming along for ordinary mornings, tired evenings and everything in between.
There is something almost impossible about loving someone so completely before you know their face, their voice or who they will become.
And for a little while, before the world gets to meet them, you are their very first home.
PRODUCT DETAILS
An original Fine Art Literary Keepsake, combining poetry, painterly imagery and typography in one carefully composed artwork.
Printed as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm — a beautifully textured, heavyweight archival paper chosen to bring out the soft graphite, painterly marks and subtle tonal detail of the artwork.
AVAILABLE FORMATS
STUDIO — 21 × 30 cm
A smaller, more intimate version with a clean-cut edge. The composition is carefully adjusted for this size while keeping the balance and character of the original artwork.
SIGNATURE — 30 × 40 cm
The artwork at its intended scale. The texture of a traditional deckled (torn) paper edge is reproduced within the artwork itself, while the physical print is clean-cut to fit neatly into a standard 30 × 40 cm frame.
Small differences in spacing or placement may appear between formats, as each version is composed to suit its proportions.
The visible graphite lines, painterly marks and softly unfinished edges are intentional parts of the artwork.
PERSONALISATION
A name, date or short dedication may be added in a subtle handwritten style, thoughtfully placed to complement the original composition.
Example: “For Anne · While you carry our little world · 2026”
UNFRAMED
The print is supplied unframed. Any frames or styled settings shown in product images are for presentation only.
Colours and subtle tonal details may vary slightly between your screen and the finished Fine Art print.
Designed and created by Surreal Mindscapes.
