HERE I AM
Something is disappearing.
And something else is taking its place.
Here I Am begins with one of the simplest objects — a burning candle — and allows it to become something entirely unexpected. As the wax falls, a woman emerges beneath it, formed from the very material being consumed above.
Yet she does not appear fragile.
She stands calmly within the darkness, fully formed and almost defiant in her stillness. The flame continues to burn. The wax continues to fall. But what might ordinarily suggest an ending becomes, instead, an arrival.
There are many ways to read her.
She may be transformation. Survival. Reinvention. The person who appears after something familiar has melted away. Or perhaps she needs no explanation at all.
She is simply there.
Created for those drawn to surreal imagery with an emotional undercurrent, and for anyone who has ever looked back at a period of change and realised that somewhere within it, another version of themselves quietly appeared.
Not who will I become?
Not what will remain?
Simply —
Here I am.
PRODUCT DETAILS
A digital artwork by Surreal Mindscapes from the Fine Art Edition, inspired by mixed-media techniques and combining contemporary surrealism, figurative realism and expressive painterly detail.
The composition contrasts an almost absolute black background with warm candlelight and sculptural wax forms. The human figure remains carefully resolved while the flowing wax creates the transition between familiar object and surreal form, allowing the transformation itself to become the visual focus.
Printed as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm — a beautifully textured, heavyweight archival paper whose tactile surface complements the depth, warmth and sculptural character of the artwork.
COLOURWAY
Deep black · candle ivory · warm amber · honey gold · burnt umber · soft flame white
