Incognito

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION

INCOGNITO

She is attempting to remain unnoticed.

Admittedly, the hat is not helping.

Collar raised and face hidden, she moves through the old streets as though she knows every doorway, every lamp and every shortcut between them.

Perhaps she is avoiding someone.

Perhaps she is looking for someone.

Perhaps she is simply deciding who deserves a little fright before the night is over.

We shouldn't speculate.

The city behind her emerges through misty graphite-inspired drawing and loose painterly passages, while her dark coat and wonderfully impractical hat carry heavier areas of apparent impasto. Warm ivory paper breaks through the streets and architecture, allowing the city to feel half observed, half remembered — a place that seems to belong to her as much as she belongs to it.

Where she is going, we don't know.

But she certainly doesn't look lost.

It is, after all, her city.

PRODUCT DETAILS

A digital Fine Art Keepsake by Surreal Mindscapes, created through a mixed-media-inspired approach combining painterly imagery, graphite-inspired drawing and expressive texture within one carefully balanced composition.

Printed as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm — a beautifully textured, heavyweight archival paper chosen to complement the atmospheric cityscape, graphite-inspired detail and dramatic painterly passages.

COLOURWAY

A restrained, atmospheric palette of warm ivory, parchment, smoke grey, charcoal, deep black and muted antique gold.

The near-monochrome city remains deliberately soft and unresolved behind the darker figure, while subtle warm and gold-toned passages emerge through the apparent impasto of her coat and hat.

AVAILABLE FORMATS

STUDIO — 21 × 30 cm

A smaller, intimate format, carefully composed to preserve the scale of the figure and surrounding city.

SIGNATURE — 30 × 40 cm

The artwork at its intended scale, with a clean-cut edge, allowing the painterly surface, graphite-inspired detail and atmospheric depth of the composition to be appreciated more fully.

Small differences in spacing or placement may appear between formats, as each version is composed specifically for its proportions.

The visible paper texture, graphite-inspired marks, unfinished painterly passages and broad areas of apparent impasto are intentional parts of the artwork. The sculptural paint effects are reproduced within the printed image; the finished Giclée print itself remains flat.

UNFRAMED

The print is supplied unframed. Any frames or styled settings shown in product images are for presentation only.

Colours and subtle tonal details may vary slightly between your screen and the finished Fine Art print.
