ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
SHE WALKS DIFFERENTLY NOW
For a long time, women were expected to move carefully through a world largely shaped without them in mind.
To ask permission.
To take up less space.
To soften their voices, their ambitions and sometimes even themselves.
Something has changed.
She Walks Differently Now imagines that change at an impossible scale.
The woman is deliberately larger than the city beneath her. She does not hover above it or wait to be given a place within it. She steps directly into it — feminine, composed and entirely certain of her direction.
Even the heels matter. Strength here does not require her to become less feminine in order to be taken seriously. She does not need to exchange softness for authority or sensuality for independence.
The world beneath her begins to crack, but she does not.
This is not about women becoming more powerful than everyone around them. It is about recovering the power to determine their own direction after generations in which that freedom was too often limited, questioned or taken away.
She knows where she is going.
She knows why she is going there.
And perhaps most importantly,
she no longer asks whether she is allowed to take up the space along the way.
