SMALL THINGS

Small Things is about those brief, unexpected moments when life feels lighter.

Not because anything has been solved, or because the things waiting for us have disappeared. But because, for a little while, our attention has wandered somewhere smaller.

The sound of wind moving through the leaves.

Sometimes there comes a moment when we stop thinking about where we need to be next and simply notice where we are. For a few minutes, nothing is being asked of us.

A little pocket of carefreeness in an otherwise ordinary day.

The landscape carries that feeling through a quiet path, distant water and hills, long grasses and weathered stone. Painterly detail gradually gives way to graphite-inspired marks and warm-ivory paper, allowing parts of the landscape to remain soft and unresolved.

Small Things is a reminder that peace does not always arrive because life has become easier.

Sometimes it arrives because, for a little while, something small was enough.

The artwork at its intended scale. The appearance of a traditional deckled (torn) paper edge is visually reproduced within the artwork itself, while the physical print is clean-cut to fit neatly into a standard 30 × 40 cm frame.

Small differences in typography, spacing or placement may appear between formats, as each version is composed specifically for its proportions.

The visible paper texture, graphite-inspired marks, unfinished painterly passages and broad areas of apparent impasto are intentional parts of the artwork. The sculptural paint effects and subtle warm-gold details are reproduced within the printed image; the finished Giclée print itself remains flat.
