Through Together
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
THROUGH TOGETHER
Through Together begins where the wedding ceremony ends.
The vows have been spoken. The ring is already there. And ahead is the much bigger part — actually living all those promises together.
Because marriage is rarely made from the moments we photograph.
It is made from ordinary mornings and difficult weeks. From plans that work and plans that change completely. From knowing when to talk, when to give someone space, and when a hand quietly reaching for yours says more than either of you could manage with words.
At the centre of the artwork are two hands resting together. There is no ceremony around them and nothing particularly dramatic happening. The wedding band is simply there now — no longer something being placed on a finger, but something that has become part of the hand itself.
And perhaps that is what happens to the promise too.
Over time, it moves away from the words spoken on one particular day and into all the small ways two people continue to choose one another afterwards.
Visually, the hands emerge through expressive graphite-inspired drawing before gradually meeting broad painterly passages of warm ivory, stone and muted gold. The wedding band remains a small, restrained point of warmth within the composition rather than its dominant feature.
Personalised with the couple’s names and wedding date, Through Together becomes a keepsake not only of the day they married, but of everything they agreed to walk through together after it.
A meaningful gift for a wedding, anniversary or significant wedding anniversary — particularly for a couple who already know that the most important part of marriage begins after everyone has gone home.
PRODUCT DETAILS
A digital Fine Art Wedding Keepsake by Surreal Mindscapes, created through a mixed-media-inspired approach combining graphite-inspired drawing, painterly realism, expressive mark-making, broad sculptural surface texture and subtle personalised typography within one carefully balanced composition.
Printed as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm — a beautifully textured, heavyweight archival paper chosen to complement the softness of the graphite-inspired drawing and the tactile character of the painterly surface.
COLOURWAY
This piece is created in a restrained, timeless palette of warm ivory, soft stone, pale taupe, charcoal graphite and muted antique gold.
The hands remain largely neutral and softly monochromatic, while the wedding band provides a small focal point in warm gold. Broad ivory and stone painterly passages introduce light and texture, with restrained gold details appearing through the surface without becoming decorative.
AVAILABLE FORMATS
STUDIO — 21 × 30 cm
A smaller, intimate format with a clean-cut edge. The composition and personalised details are carefully adjusted to preserve the closeness and balance of the original artwork.
SIGNATURE — 30 × 40 cm
The artwork at its intended scale, allowing the graphite-inspired detail of the hands and the contrast between drawing, open space and broad painterly texture to become more pronounced.
Small differences in spacing or placement may appear between formats, as each version is composed specifically for its proportions.
The visible graphite-inspired marks, exploratory lines, irregular painterly passages, broad areas of apparent impasto and subtle gold details are intentional parts of the artwork. The sculptural paint effects are reproduced within the printed image; the finished Giclée print itself remains flat.
COMPANION ARTWORK
A coordinating wedding artwork, Take Thee, is available separately.
While Take Thee captures the moment the wedding band is placed on the finger, Through Together looks beyond the ceremony to the life that follows.
The two pieces were conceived to work beautifully individually or together — one holding the promise, the other everything that comes after it.
PERSONALISATION
The couple’s names and wedding date can be incorporated into the artwork in a subtle handwritten style, making each print personal to the marriage it celebrates.
