Where The Light Breaks Through is built around movement, contrast and the tension between darkness and illumination.
Warm tones gather and rise through a fractured, textured surface, while a column of light opens through the centre of the composition. Nothing is entirely fixed. Forms seem to appear, dissolve and shift depending on where the eye settles.
There is heat in the lower part of the image, but this is not a painting of fire.
There is light above, but it does not need to become a symbol of anything specific.
The work is intentionally open — allowing colour, texture and atmosphere to carry the experience rather than a defined narrative.
Created for those who are drawn to art that is felt before it is understood, and to the freedom of finding something different each time they return to the same image.
Sometimes an artwork does not need to tell us what it means.
It only needs to make us stop and look.
