Where We Go From Here
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
WHERE WE GO FROM HERE
There comes a point when love becomes less about the moment itself and more about what happens afterwards.
The first touch has happened.
The rhythm has been found.
And now there is simply the road ahead.
Where We Go From Here is the third and final work in the triptych, following Before We Touched and When We Found the Rhythm.
The couple has turned away from us. There is no performance left to witness, no dramatic gesture and no need to prove their closeness.
They are simply walking.
Together.
Their joined hands become the quiet centre of the composition — small compared with everything around them, yet somehow enough.
The unfinished graphite, pale open space and broad painterly passages allow the world ahead to remain deliberately unresolved. We are not shown where the path leads because neither are they.
And perhaps that is the most truthful ending.
Relationships do not arrive at a final scene where everything is suddenly known. Life continues. People change. Roads turn. There will be days when walking together feels effortless and others when it requires choosing one another all over again.
Where We Go From Here completes The Togetherness Triptych, but has been composed to stand as a complete Fine Art piece in its own right.
Created for couples at any stage of a shared life — and for anyone who understands that perhaps the most meaningful promise is not knowing exactly what comes next.
It is simply being able to look ahead and say:
wherever it leads, we’ll find out together.
PRODUCT DETAILS
An original digital artwork by Surreal Mindscapes, created in a Painterly style inspired by expressive graphite drawing and sculptural impasto painting, and produced as a museum-quality Giclée Fine Art print.
This artwork forms Part Three and the final piece of The Togetherness Triptych:
Before We Touched — the beginning
When We Found the Rhythm — the connection
Where We Go From Here — the journey forward
Each artwork is available separately and has been composed to work beautifully as an individual Fine Art piece. Displayed together, the three works create a continuous visual and emotional narrative — from reaching towards one another, through intimacy and shared movement, to walking into an unwritten future together.
Graphite-inspired drawing remains visible through the figures and surrounding space, while broad painterly passages gather through the woman’s dress, the ground and the dissolving edges of the composition. The contrast between resolved form and unfinished space is intentional, allowing the path ahead to remain visually open.
The physical artwork is a flat Fine Art print. The visible raised paint, broken edges and impasto-like surfaces are part of the digital composition rather than physically applied paint.
Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm, a beautifully textured, heavyweight Fine Art paper chosen to complement the artwork’s graphite character, restrained palette and visually tactile painterly detail.
COLOURWAY
Warm ivory · graphite black · soft stone · muted blue-grey · weathered charcoal · natural beige · subtle ochre
AVAILABLE FORMATS
STUDIO — 21 × 30 cm
SIGNATURE — 30 × 40 cm
Each format is carefully composed for its individual proportions. Small differences in cropping, spacing or placement may therefore appear between sizes.
The broad impasto-like passages, visibly broken paint edges, irregular graphite-inspired lines, splashes and softly unfinished areas are intentional parts of the artwork. Texture is deliberately concentrated rather than applied evenly across the composition, while skin and the quieter figurative areas remain visually softer and more restrained.
UNFRAMED
The artwork is supplied unframed. Any frames or styled interior settings shown in presentation images are for display purposes only.
Colours, contrast and fine tonal details may vary slightly between screen display and the finished Fine Art print.
Designed and created by Surreal Mindscapes.
