You Won’t Remember Being This Small is about a time remembered almost entirely by the people who were there to care for us.

Babies grow through these earliest weeks without knowing how closely they were watched, how often someone reached out just to touch them, or how extraordinary their smallest movements seemed to the people around them.

For the parent, those details can remain remarkably clear — the tiny fingers, curled toes, sleepy expressions and the almost unbelievable smallness of a new person.
